Welcome to Albir

The popular resort on the Spanish Costa Blanca.

Benidorm, the once sleepy fishing village, has grown to become the most popular holiday resort on Spains Costa Blanca. The two large sandy beaches are rated among the best in Spain. The Playa de Levante beach around 1 mile long is often crowded and sports an attractive promenade and offers sunbeds and parasols for hire. The other main beach, the Poniente around 2 miles long is usually less crowded which is probably due to there being fewer hotels on this side of the town.

A view of Benidorm market Though many Spanish citizens make this town their vacation destination, it still caters mainly to the British holidaymaker. Benidorm offers multiple activities including riding, tennis, go-karting, golf, water skiing, scuba diving and banana boat rides to name a few. It is also host to the largest theme park in Europe, Terra Mitica, divided into 5 different themed areas.

There is plenty of entertainment abound in Benidorm with its many bars, restaurants, disco's and international shows. There are plenty of fast food outlets and finding British food products for those not wanting to try the local dishes is relatively easy as this skyscraper city has it all including the famous British Fish & Chips. The town has many souvenir shops and there is an open-air market every Wednesday where you can get great bargains on leather and other goods.
